It was flat tappet and had similar duration specs. I think you can still buy a repro of that cam.look at a "Z-20" isky cam for a solid performer and it will work with 2.73 gears (gears do not determine how the engine runs) 228º@.050 solid lifter flat tappet using .018 lash. .448 lift, works fine with stock converter.
