(F)...Proportional Valve Setting. Here's my experience on installing the rear discs and an additional proportioning valve. I left the original proportional valve in place and then installed the adjustable proportional valve in line. I also installed a pressure gauge to see what pressures actually were.When I did the normal 2" lift on my 70, I originally added 2" to the existing adjusting rod, but then decided to convert the proportioning valve to manual adjustment. I did this for two reasons:-. 1) I have junked the back seats, and fitted an equipment box and table, so the load in the back is basically constant, so no need for the valve to vary.

The load sensing regulator has a spring that connectes it to the rear suspension at the front of the trailing arm on the left side.One other slightly tricky part is locating the prop valve in a place where you can: 1. Reach the output side with the existing rear brake line you took off the distribution block without kinking that line. 2. Mount it securely (don't want it's weight vibrating the lines!) 3.
