Write to the schools. First, check to make sure that the school allows the submission of additional material. Some schools explicitly state that an applicant should not send in additional information while on the waitlist. If the school allows additional material, then send them an update letter or letter of interest.Contact the school via whatever means you prefer and tell them to take you off their waitlist. Just like how a regular wait list works, you have a good chance of getting in (maybe the top 30% or so), but not everyone gets in though. Tier 2 is basically a soft rejection.
