The new one is going to graduate to EDC as soon as it has been thoroughly checked out and the other one will be backup. For me the P239 is about as ideal a carry gun as there is out there.
The Sig P239 was my first Sig purchased quite a number of years ago. It was in the 357 Sig variant. Excellent pistol, carried very well in a Milt Sparks Watch Six IWB and Sparks' NLG OWB. The only "spring" held in place by a "roll pin". is the one end of the Sear Spring.For the P239, Sig started sourcing magazines from Mec-Gar sometime before 2000. Later production magazines were marked: Sig Sauer, P239, 9mm, Made in Italy, & were Straight Backed. The "Made In Italy" magazines were apparently produced under contract by Mec-Gar. An Italian company, started in 1965 producing firearm magazines only.
