The Ruger 44 carbine semi-automatic was a centerfire 4+1 chambered around. There are occasions when blocks of serial numbers have been manufactured out of sequence, sometimes years later. I killed my first and several other (10-15) deer with it. I used the then standard 240g fp or hp ammo and couldn't tell the difference.
