It's pretty interesting. I think there are also videos on PMM comp vs comped slide for p365. It just makes sense to me that a "sealed " comp where gas is sealed behind bullet and forced out comp. Would be more effective that an "open" style. In the sig the bullet leaves the barrel and it an open chamber. I have a Spectre comp. It is noticeable.Aluminum is 2.5x less dense than steel after all. Either way, the P365XL platform (slide) accepts compensators that cover the RSA much better than the standard P365 / P365X platform simply because of the way the recoil assembly is designed. If you do go with a comp, I highly recommend getting the DPM recoil kit, if you have an XL like in your case.
