Axle gasket leak

Sep 5, 2019. Thread starter. #1. Hello everyone. Posting about my rear axle that was leaking and is now fixed under warranty. Reason for posting is I had found other people's posts helpful when I had a dead keypad, kept me from exploding at the dealer since I had prior knowledge of a known issue by reading the forums..

Slide the axle out. It's a full floating axle so there is no weight on it. But to reduce oil loss, it helps to jack that side up a couple of inches. Then scrape the paper gasket from both surfaces. There are two schools of thought for repair. Install another paper gasket, or use some Ultra Grey gasket sealer.Three seal replacements and still leaking.
