Ac pulley not spinning

The Compressor is not working right now so it seems to be having no problem spinning freely but I am wondering if there is a way that I can adjust the pulley forwards toward the radiator a few mm's. The rebuilt compressor I installed came with the pulley installed on it. Thanks very much, Jim Lee 1996 960.
