A single row core model is pretty optimal too, a 2, 3, or 4 row core radiator does't really cool as efficiently in a Wrangler as a single row core does.1BadBu. If the radiator core is say 3 inches deep/thick, it's probably 3-4 rows. If it's about an inch and a half, it's 2 rows. I'm assuming that's your car on your avatar. So your '69 radiator is about 6 inches wider than my '65.

You will still get more surface area with a 2 row so better cooling. What you should look for instead of rows is fins per sq. inch count. That will make the biggest difference... considering the radiators are the same overall ...

This is partly because a 3-row aluminum will have significantly more surface area on the tubes, but also because each successive row added to a core drops efficiency a bunch because it's getting hot air from the row in front of it.
